Dates and numbers:
There are 74 days until your due date on November 13, 2008.
You are 206 days pregnant.
You are 6.8 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: February 07, 2008 to May 07, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: May 08, 2008 to August 20, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: August 21, 2008 to November 13, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks)
At this point in your pregnancy, your baby\'s crown-to-rump length is approximately 10.4 inches and the total length of your baby is around 16.7 inches. Your baby weighs about 2.7 pounds and continues to grow every day. If you measure from your bellybutton, your uterus is 3.5 to 4 inches above it. Total weight gain at this point is usually between 19 and 25 pounds.

Babies that are born prematurely can be very tiny. Even a baby that is only a few weeks early can be very small. Your baby will grow rapidly from now until week 36, and then at a slower rate thereafter. Generally, boys weigh more than girls at birth. The average baby\'s birth weight at full term is 7 to 7.5 pounds.
You might notice some leakage of colostrums from your breasts around this time. Colostrums is a sticky, watery substance that provides your baby\'s first food if you choose to breastfeed. Milk does not come in immediately after delivery and colostrums is high in calories and enough for your baby\'s first few days of life. Your baby is stimulating the production of colostrums. The baby\'s body is ensuring that there will be a readily available food supply after delivery.
Your baby will continue to open and close his eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. Your baby should be moving many times throughout the day. Some of your baby\'s movements will be predictable and if you notice a decrease in fetal movements, you should lie down and do a fetal kick count. You should feel your baby move approximately ten times in an hour. If you do not notice the proper amount of movements, you should contact your healthcare provider.
Research has shown that your baby is not only able to hear, but also able to recognize your own voice. This shows that your baby can already learn, remember and recognize.

I must be the oddball--I'm not dreading labor at all. I've heard so many horror stories too. I guess it's because it's my first baby and I don't really know what to expect or how bad it's actually going to hurt. I can't wait to meet my little guy and i know all the pain will be worth it once i hear his first cries. I watch Discovery health all the time and I cry now when I hear the babies' first cries lol. I can't imagine how awesome it will be when it's my own! Plus, I know hubby will be there right beside me the whole time :)katie459 -

I am totally scared about labor. Now that I am almost in the 30 weeks+ it is seeming real and my stomach is huge and I am like...how is this baby going to come out!? I think God makes pregnancy one month too long though so that we don't even care how much it hurts ;) I have been crying (not just crying, but bawling) also everyday. So Cutiedoll, we are definitely in the same boat. cutiedoll676 -

Hello everyone! I wanted to give you an update on my ultrasound. The cardiologist looked at her heart and said he could not see the hole. So either it closed up, or its very small. After Aryana is born they want to do an echocardiogram on her to check the heart one more time. If her heart looks great then as it did today, she will be A OK. I am so relieved. I think the hole closed up on its own. That makes me so happy! One less thing to worry about. However now I am low on amniotic fluid and the doctor wants me to drink a gallon of water a day! I told him that I need to tell my supervisor to put a computer in the bathroom because that is the only way I will get my work done!!!!! LOL! I thought I was drinking plenty of water! That is all I drink with the exception of a glass of orange juice a day. My mom is here for my shower tomorrow and whenever she is here we make coffee and eat sweets and practice the gift of gab so that might be why it was so low. So I am soon going to be on my forth bottle of water. four more to go after that. I have to pee every five minutes!!!
Anyway, Hope everyone is doing well and I will tell you all about my shower next week! I am so happy to be in week 29! Have a great labor day weekend! Baby dust to all!cluck77 -

Thanks for all your comments on the caffeine. Think my 1 cup of tea every now and again isn't that bad. I don't drink coke or coffee, think I've had 1 coffee over the whole of the pregnancy and it made me feel funny so I stopped. xxxthunders79 -

Yay I'm not in week 29! hello everyone.
I just read the comment about caffeine. I have never really drunk a lot of tea and don't drink coffee anyway. I have one or two cups of 'normal tea' a day. I haven't made any special efforts to cut out caffeine. My doctor and midwife said it is fine. I used to drink tonnes of diet coke though which I have cut back on as it is full of caffeine. If i really want one I have caff free diet coke. Lately though i have been drinking lots of fresh orange or water.meclari82 -

hey jennabean, i have one soy decaf coffee a day. i didn't have any coffee (this was the only way i had any caffeine apart from chocolate) at all in the first 4 months. i think if it's something you can live without then why have it. caffeine can interfere with your nutrient intake and what nutrients get through to babes depending on when you have it. i also notice that babes moves heaps just after i have my daily coffee and that's decaf! i couldn't imagine what he would do if i had normal coffee. but i have heard that one normal coffee per day is fine...tea isn't as great because of the tannins. there are also a few herbal teas we can't have when preggers so i just make sure i read the labels. : )justine4life -

OKay so yesterday I went into labor and delievery because of the pains i was getting in my private and increase of mucus.. yesterday morning i woke up and had a thick chunk of mucus come out on the toliet paper. Well when i went into labor and delievery they checked me and she said my cervix was getting soft then she took a test to see if any fluid showed i was going into labor.. while we were waiting for the results they had me hooked up to the contraction monitors and i was contracting so she decided to give me a shot to stop them which they did. and the test came back negative.. so she told me to take it easy and gave me the rest of the week off. I'm still getting pain down there and some contractions so will see when i go see my doc on tuesday and see what he tells me....Salamanda -

Hi all 29w 5d- I've had my appointment with my midwife and apparently I should have been given an appointment for my anti-d injection at my 20 week scan- any way as I had the injection at 12 w 6d she decided to do my bloods and see what to do from there, so just awaiting the results. My urine was tested and came up ++protein so that has been sent off for further investigation so hoping that comes back ok. My blood pressure is fine and my uterus is 28cm. As I thought my baby has his/her head by my right rib and feet down below. I see her again in 6 weeks time unless I hear otherwise. I'm feeling ever so tired today and my kids are out at a sleep over and hubby is on nights so I'll be putting my feet up!! Take care! abrowneyedgurl -

Good morning everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that yesterday I was working and noticed I was bleeding. I rushed over to labor and delivery and they monitored the baby, did a intense sonogram and it turned out that the baby is completley fine!! Doctor said sometime things like that do happen and its normal. As long as your not bleeding and contracting. She said of course if your bleeding to go get it checked out right away just to make sure but thank GOD my baby boy is ok!!! He already weighs 3lbs and 11 ozs!!! How cute is that?!!?!? :) Baby dust to all!!!!!prisslimon13 -

well--i didn't end up going to the ER--i think i've figured it out. I bought these pH strips to test the levels a a few weeks ago. I got a reading of about 6.5 or so this morning when i tested straight from my undies and that's what had me concerned...it's normally like 4.5. Well...i decided to just pee on one of the strips to see what happened before i went to the ER--and it turned the same colors indicating 6.5-7. I guess I didn't realize that urine can have that high of a pH. So...i think i'm just having bladder troubles. plus, nothing comes out at night when I'm lying down--only when i'm sitting at my desk at work or sitting around at home. I go to the doc in a week and I'll mention something to them, but for now I'm convinced that everything is ok and i'm just super paranoid like the majority of pregnant women :) jenadamandbaby -

i think i'm going to make a trip to the ER tonight--i still can't tell if i'm leaking fluid or urine. I bought some PH strips at the store a month or so ago--everything was fine until this morning--the pH levels are higher than normal. wish me luck!mommy-at-home -

Hey Ladies, I'm from week 28, but almost to 29... i was just hoping i could get some feed back from you all! Thanks!!
Well we are getting close to the end, and the closer it gets the more stressed about work i get... unfortunately at my job, i won't get paid for ANY of my maternity leave, therefore i can ONLY take 6 weeks (unless i have a c section, then its still only 8)... i was wondering if any of you ladies know of or work for any 'at home' companies that are legitimate and you have really been sucessful at that i might be able to get involved with. i would love to be able to stay home with my daughter, or at least work part time, and then some on the side athome to spend more time with her. thanks so much, i hope to hear from you!!Jodinc77 -

Went ot OB yesterday all looks good but she wants me to see the Anest. so we can make sure I can have the eppy and in case of C Section the spinal, but she says she has never had a problem she has even had one lady with steel rods in her back and was oked for the eppy that makes me feel better, next week is back to the maternal fetal doc to have an ultra sound to make sure this lil guy is not getting to big but for now GD is under control with just diet Yippy!!!!cluck77 -

littleangel-b- I fed my last baby straight away after all his checks and will be doing the same again.
Lydia926- we are the same with baby names...we like Jenna Rose for a girl (what do you all think?) but when it comes to boys names we just can't make up our mind. My hubby and children like Eric Peter but I'm not so sure????
Another tip after birth it stings for a little while when you wee so when you go try sitting with your upper body on your legs and lean forward...worked for me! Take care all!!
