Your baby weighs about 4.4 pounds at this point. The crown-to-rump length of your baby is approximately 12 inches and the total length is around 19.4 inches. Measuring from the top of your uterus to your bellybutton is 5.2 inches. Total weight gain at this point of pregnancy is usually 22 to 28 pounds.

With the exception of crying, your baby is capable of doing everything that a newborn baby will do. Your baby is restricted now inside of the uterus, but still can kick and move. Your baby sleeps a lot of the time, just as newborn babies do. Your baby's eyes move in the manner of REM sleep and researchers believe that babies can dream vividly in uterus. When your baby is awake, she is listening, feeling and learning. There are billions of neurons in the brain that make trillions of connections. Your baby will probably have settled into the birth position by now and your caregiver can most likely tell which way your baby is presenting. If your baby were to be born now, the lungs would probably be strong enough to function properly, but your baby may still need extra care from specially trained doctors and nurses.

During these last few weeks of pregnancy, most women experience an increased urge to urinate. The uterus puts a lot of pressure on the bladder and can send you to the restroom frequently. Your uterus has actually grown 500 times throughout your pregnancy! Red blood cell production catches up with the production of plasma and physiological anemia may begin to fade at this time.

Your baby's eyes open during alert times and close during sleep. The eye color is usually blue, regardless of the permanent color as pigmentation is not fully developed. The final formation of eye pigmentation requires exposure to light and usually happens a few weeks after birth.

Wow, I can't believe how close we all are to meeting our babies. It has been just a such a rollercoaster. this website has been one of the best things ive ever found on the net, the support from everyone, the information going through our pregnancies together. I remember actually being 7 weeks pregnant and feeling how i had such a long journey ahead of me, now there is only 7 weeks felt. Just want to say thank you to everyone who has sent messages, advice and the people ive gotten to know other the past 7 months. WE ARE ALMOST THERE.....WOOO HOOOO!!!!!!

Hi, thanks for your replys about my itchy/rash on belly, i'm off to the docs in a couple of hours, just want to rip the skin off but so far fighting the urge to scratch as I know it will make it worse, it doesn't help that its worse when clothes touch it and my work clothes are over the belly trousers, and I can't walk around with my belly hanging out all day heres hoping the doc gives me some cream for it. Hope everyone is well xx Oh and I'm still getting leg cramps too.

1st day of week 33 :) I got a leg cramp the other day, I stretched and thought I shouldn't have done that, I was in agony, I got up and found walking about a bit helped (on tip toes), also I have been getting awful heartburn on a night I am taking gaviscon tablets for it.

i wish i could have a baby shower i was really disapointed i couldnt ...its not like i needed anything as iv spent that much money on the bub thats why i havnt been able to afford the baby shower and our new place is was to small my partner has been off work and my mother in law threw my last one an she was off work on holidays and i didnt want to burden her with a nother baby shower on her only time off....oh but it would have been nice last time i had sumthing like 30 ppl show up and im am 33 weeks so maybe i wouldnt have been able to cope with all the extra stress

I had my baby shower this weekend. and it sucked, people no showed and my sister in law was stuck up and rude. It was kind of awkward, but after she left, 3 of my girlfriends stayed over and we had a blast, I laughed so hard I wouldn't have been too suprised if I had gone into labor! We recieved quite a few outfits and a couple of things off the registry but we will go next month and finish getting what we want.

Pintpot Ive had it for over a week now too..thought it was stretching but the itch is more like Poison Ivy and my rash looks liek heat rash *not as bad as some I see when I google PUPP* I bought Calamine lotion which relieves it a bit but I refuse to use any steroid creams or take meds while preg so am just tolerating it. I find if i just don't touch I wont aggravate it. If it was worse I'd probably try a prescription cream but for now am avoiding it

For the last two nights I work mids I have been having pains in my belly like cramps but all over. the start of the third day I decided to call my doctor. Well they were able to detect my pains but they were not strong enough to open my cervix so they gave me four shots and put me on some medication I take every six hours to stop the pains is has been about 24 hours and I am now feeling a bit better but now I am on bed rest until I can get in to my doc. Has any one had anything similar?

I think my baby's head is engaged but I'm not sure, anyone any ideas? This is my first baby so I'm not sure what to expect. But yesterday I started finding it very hard to close my legs properly and I have been having a lot of pressure on my pelvis. Also going to the toilet like every 10 mins with so much pressure on my bladder. My bump also seems to have dropped as it is no longer right under my breasts and I can breathe much easier. Is this the head engaging?

i have been up all night with that sharp pain too! its so wierd to come on here and find everyone is having it! maybe our babys are going lower and engaging!? it really hurts though and was travelling up my back thought it was the spd at first but its more like a throbbing sharp pain not a pain in ur bones. anyone else experiencing this aswell?? time is flying by! x x

Okay, so i keep getting this weird pain...it feels like someone is down in my private area just pulling it apart. When it happens it only last like 1 second...but there is a lot of pain in that 1 second. Today i was at work and it would happen atleast once every 5 mins. Does any one else get that feeling? If so do you know what it is?!

ok, so here is a weird question, this might be TMI so warnign you contiuen if you dare. : 0 so i am sitting on teh couch this morning and i thought i had to fart so whatever i attempt to fat but then i felt somethign come out of my jay jay you know how like when you have your preiod you can feel like a blood clot come out, well thats what it felt like, scared the crap out of me so i went into the bathroom and my underwear was wet with brown stuff all in it, it was gross, put those panties in a plastic bag and threw them out. hubby thinks i los tmy plug but i don't know. i am not having any pain i feel great, i went to this arts in crafts festival today adn did A LOT of walking, besides having achy feet thats the only thing bothering me. so any ideas girls? was it my plug?

Weird Question : I have these like bumps on my nipples. they have little white spot and if you squeeze them you white like plug looking thing used to come out. But once you did that they went away. We lately i have been been getting a little liquid stuff out of them. What can the liquid be be?? And why do i have these bumps? my next dr app isnt til wednesday. hey gals, This is my second close call. Ive been getting what we think are braxton hicks. It feels as if you are in labor but not as intense. both times i called labor and delivery they wanted me to go in but i waited it out and they went away. I am ready to have this baby I actually get happy when I get these contractions only because i think its finally over. Oh well!!!! Ive been feeling so tired at times. my due date in Nov. 29th almost there.

ugh... its time for me to have a pity party complain moment... i have a horrible cold.. and on top of the cold my allergies are messin up!! SO im gettin a double dose! My dr. didnt wanna prescribe be any cough medicine... he just said to take robatussin DM (sp?) but it is not strong at all. i get like 30 mins of relief and thats it THEN i cant take anymore for 3 hours.. i HAVE to keep a cough drop in my mouth at all times or i will cough up a lung lol (but its not funny lol)... i have had so many cough drops in my mouth that the roof of my mouth has been rubbed raw....every time i cough i slightly pee in my pants a lil bit... the BAD thing is, i wont even have to pee and some STILL comes out lol!!! All i have to say is THANK GOD for vicks chest rub... it is the only thing keeping me alive right now!!!

oh also, if anyone can help me with this problem I would be sooo grateful. every couple hours or so I get a very intense and sharp pain in what feels like my urethra! Like right up my clitoris or pee hole. Cant describe it too good but it takes my breath away and is AGONY! and cant find similar problem on discomfort map and too scared to ask doctor. I'm clueless as to which way my baby is lying, at our last scan he was head down but he kicks or punches all over my belly. I must be the only one who still can't tell the difference between a kick and a punch, I get lumps of limbs sticking out but couldn't say if they are arms or legs, bum or head. I've also never had it where the kicking/punching has become painful or taken my breath away. Still no brackton hicks or leaking if it wasn't for the massive bump I would never no I'm pregnant. Packing my hosptial bag at the end of the month less than 50 days left, I can acutally imagine holding him now. xx Hope everyone is well.

i was measuring 35cm at 32 weeks so they sent me for a scan turns out babys just a strong big healthy baby! im only measuring a week infront the woman who did the scan thinks. she said he or she has big strong bones..just like his rugby player dad uhoh im frightened im going to be pushing a 9pounder! haha. its probably my own fault i drink well over a litre of milk a day! hope ur all well! x x

Hes bigger then 85% of babies who are 33 weeks...I'm hoping he comes a little early. Ive gained A LOT of weight and wondered if it affected his size but the Dr says no..hes just a big boy like his daddy!

i thought that it was routine for your doctor to check the position of the baby at every check up after 28 weeks.. at least thats what they have done with me... plus with me i can tell because the kicks are harder and happen more frequently than my little girls punches which tend to tickle and not hurt at all... has anyone noticed that their baby has started to drop... or am i the only one on that boat for this week.. i'm off to week 34 tomorrow but she's been dropping since the beginning of this week...

just wonderin y is it so hard 4 pple 2 figure out wat position there baby is with out going 2 the doc/altrasound,,,,im havin twins and ever sense i was 6 months preggo i could tell the way they was layin with out pple tellin me just by feelin them move...dunno y its so hard 4 u all 2 figure it out ..is it that u dont feel it move? or u dont know ur own body? im clueless i guess...but i feel 1 kickin my ribs= head down and the other kickin my pelvic = breech..i felt them kickin my sides when they was transverse n i felt them rotate up n down also mayb im just lucky but i thought sense u all r havin only 1 baby it would b easier 4 u 2 tell.. im glad each day i feel movement alot or my tummy jumps from them lil monkies :)

I hear ya Shauna - when I was expecting my second I was thinking about the labor. My first labor wasn't bad but I didn't know what to expect and I really think that helped me when delivering my second child. You know the pains and how to deal with them and what to expect. No worries. I am now expecting my third and fourth (yes, twins) and I bit nervous about the c-section but am ready to be deflated. I feel like I am 82 months pregnant! Good Luck!
