Dates and numbers:
There are 76 days until your due date on February 06, 2009.
You are 204 days pregnant.
You are 6.7 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: May 02, 2008 to July 31, 2008. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: August 01, 2008 to November 13, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: November 14, 2008 to February 06, 2009. (28 - 40 weeks)
At this point in your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 10.4 inches and the total length of your baby is around 16.7 inches. Your baby weighs about 2.7 pounds and continues to grow every day. If you measure from your bellybutton, your uterus is 3.5 to 4 inches above it. Total weight gain at this point is usually between 19 and 25 pounds.
Babies that are born prematurely can be very tiny. Even a baby that is only a few weeks early can be very small. Your baby will grow rapidly from now until week 36, and then at a slower rate thereafter. Generally, boys weigh more than girls at birth. The average baby's birth weight at full term is 7 to 7.5 pounds.
You might notice some leakage of colostrums from your breasts around this time. Colostrums is a sticky, watery substance that provides your baby's first food if you choose to breastfeed. Milk does not come in immediately after delivery and colostrums is high in calories and enough for your baby's first few days of life. Your baby is stimulating the production of colostrums. The baby's body is ensuring that there will be a readily available food supply after delivery.
Your baby will continue to open and close his eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. Your baby should be moving many times throughout the day. Some of your baby's movements will be predictable and if you notice a decrease in fetal movements, you should lie down and do a fetal kick count. You should feel your baby move approximately ten times in an hour. If you do not notice the proper amount of movements, you should contact your healthcare provider.
Research has shown that your baby is not only able to hear, but also able to recognize your own voice. This shows that your baby can already learn, remember and recognize.

prego grad- My daughters name is Brittney S. She is 8 and back when she was born is when Britney Spears was popular. I had people ask, but no one does anymore. It was annoying to have people ask all the time, but I liked the name and so I went w/ it. Then Britney wasnt as popular for a while and now no one even talks about her that much. I am sure that is what would happen to this guy, and in a few years no one would even put the two together. Good Luck! elliel -

prego grad- it's such a shame that idiot has the same name! I have to say, I think he's such a complete @@@@ that I would wonder about giving your little fellow the same name. And as allrass says it will probably get a bit boring and frustrating having to deal with everyone asking about it. fitzierara -

I thought I was the only one who had gained over 30lbs. I was starting to get worried. Prego Grad Student- I would name your baby what ever you want but be prepared. Since that is a highly publicized name right now, people are probably going to give you crap about it. So if you can take the crap and let it go in one ear and out the other then go for it. If you think what other people say will start to bother you, then it might not be worth it.prego grad student -

I have a baby name dillema and need some advice. My husband and I really like the name Specer for our little boy, but our last name is Pratt. That would make our baby Spencer Pratt. As in that blond jerk-off from MTV's The Hills. Do you think we should go ahead and name our baby Spencer and hope that the Hills' Spencer will eventually disappear from pop culture, or should we pick a different name and not risk it?smar -

I've gained over 30lbs too & my doc said to keep it to a pound a week from here on out! How the heck does that happen w/ Thanksgiving & the rest of the holidays & all those delicious treats??? Yes I have plenty of my own food but I work w/ a lot of moms & all of their kids are grown but not havin kids yet, so they're havin fun w/ takin care of me, lol. Good luck to all who's tryin to keep their weight gain in check! mama michelle -

had my dr visit...and as usual it was a mixed bag - my cervix is still behaving itself but my urine and blood pressure tests were rubbish....all sorts of treats showed - blood, lucktytes (can't spell) and a little bit of protein just for fun. So I've done another test and I get the results on Monday. Anyone else have this sort of thing? I'm assuming it's just a possible UTI,
My dr. put the high blood pressure down to the 'excitment' of the hospital visit....it's my one trip out every 2 weeks!allrass730 -

I hate to hear that anyone is feeling as bad as I am about my fat pregnant self but I'm also glad to know I'm not alone in ballooning up and excessive cellulite. Also, extremely glad to hear that it is possible to go back to normal once the baby is finally here. I was starting to get pretty down on myself!steponroach -

''FOR ALL YOU LADIES OUT THERE...
A great way to make your own baby food....
Bake your potatoes in the oven....boil the carrots...whatever....
Mash them up really good, add water (needs to be moist for the baby)...
Then FREEZE in ICE CUBE TRAYS.
Once frozen, take out, put in ziplock bags....
then feed you baby a 'CUBE' of potatoes, a 'cube' of carrots, ....of course...
defrost!
My soon to be pediatrician gave me the idea.luckywhite -

Ah, I love my man. The doctor had told me the other day to slow down on the weight gain and only do 10 more pounds. I was CRUSHED- doesn't help the whole 'I feel huge' thing when your doc tells you you are! Well, hubby came home last night from work. I told him I needed his help with the weight. THis man, who is Mr. Fitness and BRUTALLY honest when it comes to weight, prego or not, looks at me and says 'You don't look big at all! Are you sure you have gained that much??' Love him!luckywhite -

Everyday it seems i have a new dimple and the exsisting ones just get deeper. My bum looks 90 years old when i tense it. It's not good.. And i can even feel the dimples under my leggings they're that bad. I'm just clinging on to hopefully being able to fix it after. I've never been toned nor body beautiful but this gives me the incentive to do something about post baby and my plan is to be better than b4. Just hope i stick to my work. (Oh so easy to say now). I have a feeling it's gotten so bad because i've stopped my fairly active job and now am sitting around a lot more too.stephs -

Hey ladies, just a thought for you that need new outfits for yurself. I found that going to Wal-mart and Target and going up a size or 2,or 3, you can stay in normal clothing, and its LOTS cheeper then spending $65 on just one top, or jeans. And its good for me mentally, knowing that after I have the baby, I dont have to wear Maternity Clothes, just my clothing that is a little bigger, and I can wear them while I lose the weight. Good luck. P.S- Wal-mart has cute clothes for winter right now. HugsxoxoxoxT*Dolly -

That's good to hear as i've started noticing cellulite on the FRONTS on my legs too!!!!. I only really had it on my butt b4. So hopefully it is mainly being caused by the pregnancy. And will sort it's self out with a little work after.Lindz -

I'm feeling your pain none of my 'normal' jeans will get anywhere near my legs let along my butt right now. And my cellulite is terrible. Is this normal in pregnancy? Will it go back to how it was before?. I hope so otherwise i may never wear anything above the knee again like EVER!luckywhite -

You guys may be feeling this already but up till now all i've felt is kicks. However last night the bump that I'm informed is the babys head was moving from side to side back and forth. Unfortunately Damian was out so i was all excited home alone!. It was the cutest thing went on for a good few min. I felt this kinda rush of emotions and intense love for this little human wiggling around in my belly. Quite a special moment.fitzierara -

Hello, I am not feeling so much discomfort under my ribs its low down on the pubic bone I get lots of pressure pain. Yesterday killed and today it doesnt seem so bad I think it depends on how the baby is lying. I met my new Midwife yesterday for the first time she is lovely although after taking over from the old one she is still finding her feet. I was concerned after she measured my fundal height and said I was measuring 26 weeks but when my Mum did it this morning she said I was measuring 29 1/2 cms which is normal for this stage. So who knows! I am absolutley fed up now though and can not wait until this baby is due... I went shopping yesterday after my appointment and everything I tried on made me look horrendous. Has anyone else noticed that you cant get much for maternity wear and what you can get is truly awful. elliel -

jack jack.. i seem to have fended it off... FINGERS CROSSED.. i bought more anti itch oil and have been using the bio oil and the anti itch oil together and slathering twice a day.. last night my legs flared up a little bit so i covered them as well and have been using antihystamine medicine for babies (piraton syrup) if im feeling the all over burn - so far so good.. no hot baths allowed either and im not using soap on my body just a cream oil wash.. oh and sometimes i have been putting a huge layer of diprobase ( emoliant for excema) over the oil.. my skin is looking lovely - no new stretchmarks and the originals have never looked better. ok so my skincare bump routine sounds extreme but the horrors of PUPPPS are worth avoiding so im doing everything in my power. corndog -
